What to include in a fabrication enquiry

Drawings and revision
Include readable PDF drawings and, where available, DXF, DWG or STEP files. State the revision and measurement units.
Material and dimensions
Specify grade, thickness, finished dimensions, hole positions and quantity. Mark critical dimensions and acceptable tolerances on the drawing.
Operations and appearance
Describe cutting, bending, welding, polishing, brushing or coating requirements. Identify visible faces, grain direction and protective film.
Samples and delivery
State whether a sample is needed, the delivery location, preferred schedule and packaging. Pricing and feasibility are confirmed after drawing review.
